A Truly Portland Piece of Art

Remember how I lived in Portland, Oregon for 6 weeks? And I worked at a Borders there? Well, one Mr. Jay Alvarez, who was a quirky Loss Prevention employee at the same Borders, recently contacted me about his latest project: a feature film to be produced with his wife and former bookstore manager, Megan Kopp.

People, go check out the Kickstarter page these two have created. Watch the explanation video and then watch the short film they shot on super 16mm last winter. Then, if you’re moved, throw a couple bucks their way so they can turn their dream into reality.

We’ve all seen Portlandia or at least clips of it and loved it. Who doesn’t want to be a part of Portland? Well, now here’s your chance!
